A limited number of users of that Moodle site can then install this generic mobile app from the respective app stores and use it and receive notifications for free for a limited number of courses.

Also, the on-boarding experience requires the users to type/search the name of their site besides their username/password.
We provide custom branding as well as onboarding experience through our Custom Moodle Mobile app. We are not just talking about branding, colors and logo changes, but an entirely new app, with your name, your logo, and images, your colors and your very own app listing on Google Play store and the Apple App store. Students won’t even have to enter the site URL, because the same would already be preconfigured and the students would be able to use QR code as well for logging in, if they so desire.

It is an annual subscription, but you can cancel it anytime. Cancellation won’t affect your app. Your app will still continue to work normally and will remain listed in the Android Google Play store and Apple app store. The app may stop receiving push notifications, support and future upgrades. However, these resume once you renew your subscription with us.
If you buy the “Complete Package”, we require one week to build your app as you provide us the design assets and your Google and iOS store accounts are created. Another week or two is required after submitting the app to get it approved on the Google Play and Apple App stores.
You don’t need to get any permissions from Moodle for this.
